The ONE PROJECT

Hey Everyone . This post has been in the waiting I guess for several months and I cannot tell yall how much it has been weighing on my mind.
The One Project needs funds - plain and simple . Tonight has forced me to finally post this because i have been put in a position to either spend money to drive to Georgia and see my brother from another mother and risk tapping into the financials to carry us through the rest of this month. We were blessed with a donation the first of the year but its almost gone.
I have been quiet these last few weeks and trying to figure out Gods plan and praying He will provide and He does but sometimes I think He lets me sweat as another test. If this is one of those times I will take it and do with itwhat I can.
I know the future is going to be amazing as it has been these last 15 years but I do not have a congregation that can pass the plate every week and seeking sponsorships has been kinda of thin.
I have posted things in the past 5 months hinting to our position and have not gotten the response I thought it would and I will start with it being my fault as to not have written it out plain and simple.
These past two years with all of the families here locally , the mountains of North Carolina and the time I have still been blessed to go up there and assist where I am needed along with the 2 weeks in Texas and those amazing people and now families I call my own I have experienced my next steps and they are no different than when we had Sandlot - Immediate response to our community and now outlying areas that need assistance .
Sandlot Baseball covered alot of our year funding and even that was extremely tight most times but it was and still in my heart AMAZING.. I miss these families everyday but am blessed to still see these kids and families grow and even experience things in their life outside of Sandlot. But Sandlot was always a sister part of The One Project . It was a way to spread the word of God and find out needs of our community along with so much more and then address those needs. The same needs we are continuing to do today. I just dont post or speak of it as i never have when we were doing it during Sandlot. Now " speak of it " means blasting pictures of those we are helping ( unless they say we can post ) or telling everything we are doing all the time. Its not about the recognition and honestly there is a privacy towards families I will not cross for our programs social media awareness.
I have posted that we have a 37 foot gooseneck trailer being rebuilt for our program to haul items and also be completely self sufficient for up to 5 to 6 people when disasters call for it. The build is off of knowledge myself and others have experienced in the last two years and will be vital in efficient support and also logistics where ever needed . We do not have a truck to pull it with or for that matter a truck to do anything even locally with. I do have the use of my daughters V6 ford f 150 when she is not using it. That story i think most of you know that she gave her first car to a young friend of hers who was homeless not knowing if she would have a vehicle and there fore we gave her the truck. Even so, this truck cannot pull or do what is needed for our program.
My family is no different that over seas missionaries in the fact we live on donations. SIMPLE. For the many reasons I am blessed with Shelby is she handles our bills and has reduced them to an amazing amount every month. I still have an amazing supply of household furniture and goods to meet the needs as they come in along with spreading our resources to other established programs that are doing amazing things. As an example.... one of our programs we assist go out into the woods and homeless almost everyday and have built relationships with folks that are sometime very hard to build. If I have resources and equipmentI that i can give to them so they can continue to go out and help then why would i work to develop my own. We have become extremely good at supply and logistics and that is 99 percent because of all of yall.
When all i have to do is post about a family in need supplies come and again because of yall. This is not only true here in the Triad but Western North Carolina , South Carolina and Texas.
But this takes Funds. Months ago i made a post about if everyone of my friends on fb donated $20 dollars a year then we could be financed for a year. This would be around $60.000 . For those who know Non profit s that is not even a drop in a bucket for some. But it works for us and can allow us to continue to spread HOPE and Love.
The ONE thing a non profit has done is gotten rid of my pride and i tell everyone who wants to start one ... be ready to lose your pride ( its actually awesome ).
So if you want to assist us in continuing doing what we have been doing for 16 plus years I would be grateful.
If you are interested in corporate sponsorship I would love to talk with you. All Donations are tax exempt.
